Launch of Notes-Books-Authors 9

The launch of Notes-Books-Authors took place on March 29 2006. The subject is The Writings of Elsie J Oxenham: a New Zealand Perspective. The evening had a 'back to school' theme with readings from books that were popular for children in the mid 20th Century. Author Barbara Robertson gave a talk from her book and an excellent reading.

The evening also featured nibbles in the form of a mock 'school midnight feast' and a selection of readings from other comparable authors to Elsie J Oxenham.

The evening was a great success, inspired by the depth of Barbara's research, and the quality of her presentation.
